A study funded by the National Institutes of Health showed a link between Child Care and Academic Achievement:
Teens who were in high-quality child care settings as young children scored slightly higher on measures of academic and cognitive achievement and were slightly
less likely to report acting-out behaviors than peers who were in lower-quality child care arrangements during their early years, according to the latest analysis of
a long-running study funded by the National Institutes of Health.
FranDelJA is a child care facility that is recognized for providing high-quality child care. Our goal is for each child to

FranDelJA was established in 2000 to meet the needs
of children and families residing in the Bayview Hunters Point Community this was the culmination of a lifelong
vision of two local women who dreamed of enriching the community they resided in and loved. Gladys Harris and Sandra Young,
two sisters, managed to ignite the imagination of the various community leaders who also saw the need for high-quality core programs.

FranDelJA currently offers a program that serves 64 children ages 6 weeks to 5 years; an infant classroom serving 12 children,
